Man, yesterday was long. I ended up falling asleep around 11 when I had been getting really tired in the car on the way home from the beach, therefore I did not blog last night. But I think I’m going to try and get into a rhythm where I blog three times a day, making my entries a lot shorter.
Yesterday I woke up and started what I think is going to make me feel a lot more toned. Don’t get me wrong; I love my body and don’t want to lose any more weight. But I feel like the running, while beneficial to me in a cardio sense, is taking away my muscle tone. I’m going back to the routine devised for me by my father’s personal trainer, and I started it yesterday with a ‘preworkout’ and cardio. I ended up busting out a 5K in around 28 minutes.
Another thing I’ve noticed-when I run, I run hard and I run fast, with the intention to finish as quickly as possible!
When I got back to the house I made-what else-a yogurt bowl. This time, I added one of my Acme buys: Peanut Butter Puffins!
That’s the reason this bowl looks so huge…the Peanut Butter Puffins are so big in comparison to the regular ones, they take up a ton of volume!
1/2 c Peanut Butter Puffins
Oikos
1/2 c Kellogg’s Smart Start Antioxidants
1 Pear
2 HUGE Strawberries
1 handful blueberries
1 pkg Stevia
1 tbsp Acme Strawberry Spread
Yesterday was also the day my cousins and grandmother made their way down to the beach! I was so happy to see them. They brought a ton of food for us to enjoy, and I was sad I had already eaten breakfast because I was too full to eat the pound cake they had taken to us!
After a few hours of hanging out at the house and talking, I took my cousins down to the beach, packing a lunch to eat there so I didn’t waste a moment.
It’s like eating a cup of coffee. And any bar with chocolate chips on it is fine by me.
Around 6:30, I started getting hangry, and I broke into my first WaWa purchase: bag of carrots!
These kept me pretty well until around 8, and then after a rest stop I couldn’t avoid the food I had brought with me anymore.
I opened up a WaWa Buffalo Chicken Blue Cheese Whole Wheat Wrap.
I seriously was not expecting much. It looked a little flimsy and not filling at all. I was worried I’d be starving after I ate it. Then I opened it.
It was a lot heavier than I had thought! And on first bite, I knew I’d made the right decision. It was spicy, creamy, and filling. My one problem was that the buffalo sauce was a bit drippy and very, very red. At one point it looked like my fingers were covered in blood. Other than that, I would definitely buy this wrap again!
Of course, I needed something sweet. Enter my favorite WaWa fruit snack: pre-sliced Mango!
Sorry for the blur!
I absolutely love mango, but it’s impossible for me to get my hands on one and not mess up the slicing process. That oblong seed in the middle of it gets me every single time. So I rely on pre-sliced packs. Sometimes I get a pack of mango that’s full of the dry, unripe slices, and some are way, way too ripe. Others are a mix. This one was a mix, but the less-ripe slices were still pretty sticky and delicious.
When I got home, I needed chocolate but my Lindt Squares were still packed away. I ended up having two Lindt Dark Chocolate Filled Squares
These are like the Lindt Truffle Balls, but less gooey. The filling was rich and smooth, and provided a perfect after-dinner pick me up.
Off to get my laundry done and do some grocery shopping! I ended up sleeping in today to the late hour of 7:20. Without an alarm. My body is so used to getting up early, it won’t let me sleep in!!
