winter spring summer or fall

All You Gotta Do Is Call…

Who else liked that song as a kid? I was most familiar with the James Taylor cover, but I found out later Carole King was first.  Everyone covers her songs from Tapestry.  They’re just that brilliant.

This morning’s breakfast was centered around a summer/fall theme.

I combined in the blender 1 c frozen mango, 1 c Pacific Almond Milk, 1 scoop Nutribiotic Vanilla Brown Rice Protein Powder (so good!!!), and a slice or two of frozen peach that was left in the bottom of the Dole bag it came in.  I also put in 1 tsp xantham gum and a crapload of ice.  It made a TON of smoothie.  Thankfully I have a brand new Copco 24OZ keepsake smoothie glass my mom got for me!!! It’s awesome and bigger than my Starbucks one!  And I may have used the straw to suck up the ton of smoothie left in the blender (that’s my fault for using xantham gum plus two HUGE handfuls of ice).

That’s the summery part.  For the fall part, I ate a bagel thin with Whipped Light Spread and pumpkin butter, then sprinkled it with nutmeg and cinnamon.  Oh, gosh.  I kind of didn’t even want my smoothie after that.  It was so delicious and comforting, all the flavors of fall.

Today I have the morning and afternoon off from the show (we have an evening show tonight), so I can relax, catch up on my magazines, and maybe take a nap?!

My workout today was pretty awesome although I woke up this morning feeling like hell.  It was completely mental, however, and I swung through 5 miles on the treadmill without a problem (I did power-walk the last .5 miles however, although that was also mental as my legs felt fine).

Off to read outside and nap perhaps!  TGIF!!!!
