That’s what it is.
Some days, like Tuesdays, after I run I can’t get enough food in me. I’m starving all day. Then there’s days like today. I wasn’t even remotely hungry until 1:45, and then I felt “Hmmm, I could eat.” I think what helped was that I was busy all morning at school picking up my books (and spending so much money. Books shouldn’t cost that much!) and not thinking about food, which sometimes will make me think I’m hungrier than I am. Also, I think adding that protein powder to my yogurt was an awesome idea! The added protein to the Greek yogurt kept me full without feeling uncomfortable.
For lunch, I wanted a salad with avocado. I have an avocado in the fridge that is perfectly ripe. I used a bit of it in my sandwich on Tuesday, so I dumped a 1/4 of it onto a bed of arugula, along with a pack of chunk salmon, a handful of sun-dried tomato, a bit of chopped onion, some Santa Fe Mexican vinaigrette, balsamic vinegar, and S/P
This was So delicious, but for some reason the dressing didn’t stick to the arugula, and the peppery-ness of the greens kind of overpowered the other flavors. Next time I’ll stick to spinach for this type of salad.
On the side I had a few Kashi crackers:
Yes, that is an olive oil dish. Moving on. I love these Kashi crackers but they are SO salty!!!
For dessert, a sliced up local peach from Rockville and a handful of blueberries, dressed with cinnamon.
This afternoon I’m going to go see Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, and I cannot WAIT to dig into one of my bags of Kettle Corn!
