It’s so weird how you crave certain foods. Right now, all I can think about is foods with a lot of fat in them. Not like ‘Burger King pile of saturated’ fat. But honest to goodness, straight from the earth, omega-3 packed FAT. Hummus. Avocado. Peanut butter. Oils. Mmmmm.
Cravings are usually a sign that our body needs a specific nutrient. Either that, or I’m seriously just jonesing for some creamy fatty wonderful in my life. Whatever the reason, I have been an avocado FIEND over the last two days!
My breakfast yesterday contained more of my beloved TJ’s Flaxseed Peanut Butter in my Bob’s High Fiber Oat Bran. In this bowl: 1/2 c bran, water, a few splashes almond milk, 1/2 c blueberries, cinnamon, stevia, nutmeg, and 1 tbsp of the nut butter as well as a spoonful of raspberry jam, which was a mistake. Raspberry jam in oats aren’t the best idea, as they’re kind of sour and spoil the rest of the flavors. Strawberry works so much better! Also, I microwaved this because after my run, I was in no mood to wait!
While this microwaved I noshed on my first Honeycrisp apple of the season!
For my lunch to bring to school, I decided to go a little vegan considering we had run out of turkey. I combined hummus, 1 big sliced beet, spinach, and 1/4 an avocado on top of flax bread with a ton of carrots on the side:

Halfway through my second class of the day I snacked on a KIND bar. It was like eating candied apricot!
No pictures of my dinner as I forgot my camera, but I had a HUGE plate of veggie spring rolls alongside a plate of shrimp california roll, and a bowl of protein ice cream to finish off that gross protein powder. Delicious!
My breakfast this morning was the standard bowl of Fage 0% with protein powder (this time I used the Nutribiotic Vanilla stuff…which was NOT as good as the Jarrow!) and used a Pink Lady for dipping. I paired it with 1/2 a Thomas whole wheat bagel with 1/2 tbsp PB and honey.
Lunch today? Oh man. Bring on the fat!
Two Quaker Rice Cakes smeared with 1/2 avocado, 2 tbsp hummus, 1 sliced Veggieslice PepperJack cheese, and 2 dollops of salsa. I also had a bigass carrot, and will probably have either a peach with a bit of almond butter. I am a fat machine!
That came out wrong.
Off to pick up some more school supplies!
